Young Voices
Pupils enjoyed a wonderful day at the AO Arena in Manchester on Tuesday 6th February, participating in the largest youth choir in the country - Young Voices. This year marked the first time that pupils from Chelford took part in the event and our choir, ably led by Mrs Thwaites, have been busy learning all of the songs (and dance moves!) over recent months. Pupils and staff and were joined by almost 9,000 other children from around the north west in putting on a memorable performance for families. The whole day was a marvellous experience: from rehearsals with the live band to spending time with friends in such an impressive arena - pupils had a wonderful day and made memories to last a lifetime! The audience was also treated to some incredible performances by singer Natalie Williams and the fabulous Nandi Bushell as well as the dancers from Urban Stride. Enormous thanks to staff who attended - Mrs Downer, Mrs Nuttall, Mrs Roberts and to Mrs Badger - who returned especially to lend a helping hand. A huge thanks too to Mrs Latchford for managing the administration for the concert and to Mrs Thwaites for organising and preparing pupils for such a special occasion.
