We are excited to launch our new Reception to Year 6 Buddy Scheme, helping to build friendships and strengthen our school community. Each Reception child has been paired with a Year 6 buddy who will support them throughout the year, whether through shared reading, special activities or simply offering a friendly smile around school.

The scheme provides our youngest pupils with reassurance and confidence as they settle into school life, while giving Year 6 pupils valuable opportunities to develop leadership, responsibility and communication skills.

The first meeting was a great success, with plenty of smiles, conversation and enthusiasm from everyone involved. We look forward to seeing these special friendships grow and flourish throughout the year. The Buddy Scheme is a wonderful example of the kindness, care and community spirit that make our school such a special place to learn and belong.
