Come and Play with the Hallè

Class 3 pupils welcomed the opportunity to ‘blow their own trumpet’ and celebrate their musical talents yesterday, when they joined a number of schools from the north west to accompany the awe-inspiring Hallè orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Pupils were treated to sublime performances from the Hallè as well as enjoying the opportunity to play along to pieces that they have been studying as part of their curriculum must lessons. Staff report that the behaviour and conduct of pupils was exemplary; as always we are incredibly proud of our fine ambassadors. Well done to all those who took part in the event and to Mr Scarterfield for preparing the children for the concert. Our thanks also to Mrs Thwaites, Mrs Roberts, Mrs Nuttall and Mrs Downer for accompanying the children.
